Abajo-Hearts Draw in the Manti-La Sal National Forest offers 18 miles of trails open to ATVs. Terrain varies with steep sections and technical rocky areas. Primitive camping is available.




Badger Creek Loop

Bryce Canyon Country

Badger Creek Loop is a 20 mile ride through high mountain meadows and thick forest. Skill level is intermediate. Leaving Tropic Reservoir, this ride climbs through the forest to a high ridge providing scenic views.




Bull Rush Loop

Bryce Canyon Country

Bull Rush Loop is a 36 mile looping trail. There are side hill sections of the trail, very narrow passageways in the dry wash, and a rocky vertical descent into a canyon-like dry wash. This system is rated expert.




Canyon Rims Recreation Area

Canyon Rims Recreation Area is described as an immense diverse region. Most of the Canyon Rims Recreation Area is undeveloped. Access into the area is via a system of paved, gravel, and dirt roads, augmented by primitive OHV trails that vary in condition and difficulty. There are three campgrounds and a resort in the area.




Casto Canyon Limekiln Loop

Bryce Canyon Country

The Casto Canyon/Limekiln Loop is a 90 mile scenic ride from Panguitch on a loop to Casto Canyon/Limekiln loop and intersects with the Fremont Trail. Skill level is intermediate. Extra fuel and provisions are strongly recommended.




Cedar City Ranger District

Dixie National Forest, Markagunt OHV System, Markagunt Plateau, Sandy-Caddy Creek Loop, Birch Spring Loop, Tommy Creep Loop Strawberry Loop, Harris Rim Loop, Lake Spring Hollow, Mammoth ATV Trail

Markagunt OHV System in the Dixie National Forest is an extensive system of OHV roads and trails. The area is known for its beautiful views of pink limestone formations.




Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park

Coral Pink Sand Dunes Park is a 3,730 acre multi use area where ATVs are permitted. The park is named for the unusual color of the sand in this region. Camping, rest rooms, and showers are available.




Daves Hollow Coyote Hollow Loop

Connecting to the Great Western OHV Trail, Daves Hollow Loop is a scenic trail. It is rated "easiest" and has beautiful views of the reservoir and green meadows. Camping is available.




Elk Ridge-Dark Canyon Wilderness

Manti-La Sal National Forest, Beef Basin Wash Trail, Chimney Park, Horse Flat Trail, Davis Pocket Trail, Gooseberry Trail, Horse mountain Trail, Kigalia Point Trail, Peavine Corridor Route, Reservoir Canyon Trail

Elk Ridge-Dark Canyon Wilderness offers 40 miles of multiuse trail open to ATV use. Trail conditions vary and are rated from intermediate to expert.




Escalante Ranger District

Dixie National Forest, Antimony Lake Trail, Bich Creek Trail, Boulder Swale Trail, Grass Lake Trail, Great Western Trail, Pacer Lake Trail, Pine Lake Trail, Poison Creek Trail

Escalante Ranger District in the Dixie National Forest consists of an extensive system of ATV trails including a section of the Great Western Trail which is a continuous trail system that extends from Canada to Mexico through Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho. Approximately 80 miles of the Great Western Trail traverses the Escalante Ranger District.




Fremont ATV Trail

Dixie National Forest, Casto-Limekiln Loop, Horse Valley Peak Loop, Table Mountain Loop, West Hunt Loop

Fremont ATV Trail in the Dixie National Forest is an extensive ATV trail system laid out in four loops. Trails are rated from intermediate to expert.




Heber-Kamas Ranger District

Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest, Lost Creek Trail, Lost Lake Trail, Maxwell Trail, Meadow Park Trail, River Run, Swift's Canyon Trail, Switchback Trail, Adams Corral Trail, Broadhead Loop Notch Mountain Trail

Heber-Kamas Ranger District consists of an extensive network of ATV roads and trails. There are multiple trailheads and camping is available.




Hole in the Rock Trail

Hole in the Rock Trail is a multiuse trail which can accommodate ATVs as well as Jeep traffic. The Trail is a linear 38 mile trail which is very technical. Trail is rated expert. This trail intersects with Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument and Glen Canyon National Recreation Areas.




Horse Valley Ride

Horse Valley Ride is a 26 mile loop beginning and ending on the shore of Panguitch lake. This scenic ride is rated for beginners.




Kings Creek Daves Hollow Loop

Bryce Canyon Country

Kings Creek Loop and Daves Hollow Loop offer about 75 miles of ATV road riding open to all types of vehicles. Trail is rated as easy. These loops intersect with Coyote Hollow Loop and the Great Western OHV Trail. There are multiple trailheads and camping is available.




Knolls ATV Area

Knolls Special Recreation Mangement Area offers 26,000 acres of open riding area including sand dunes, hills, and mud flats. Restrooms and dispersed camping are available.




La Sal Loop / Moab Flat

Manti-La Sal National Forest, Brumley Loop Trail, Brumley Ridge Trail, Dory Canyon Trail

La Sal Loop/Moab Flat in the Manti-La Sal National Forest offers 12 miles of multiuse trail open to ATVs. Trails are rated as more difficult. Restrooms are available.

Little Sahara Recreation Area

Little Sahara offers 60,000 acres of open riding area. Terrain is giant free-moving sand dunes and sagebrush flats. Picnic areas, and camping are available.

Panguitch Loop Trail offers 100 miles of multiuse looping trail open to ATV use. This trail intersects with the Great Western Trail, Coyote Hollow Loop, and Kings Creek Loop. Camping is available.




Pass Creek Loop

Pass Creek Loop offers 27 miles of ATV trail. Trail is rated easy and is flat and dusty.




Paunsaugunt Rim Pines Loop

Paunsaugunt Rim Pines Loop offers 75 miles of ATV trail. This trail features the 9,000 foot Wilson Peak Overlook. This loop intersects the Badger Creek Loop.

Pole Hollow Loop offers 26 miles of scenic ATV trails. The trail is rated as moderate. It passes through Meadows and Quaking Aspen Forests and intersects with West Panguitch Loop.




Powell Point

Powell Point offers 10 miles of trail open to all ORVs. The trail is a side trail to the Great Western ORV Trail.

Sand Flats Recreation Area offers miles of designated ATV roads and trails. There are no open play areas within Sand Flats. Camping is available.




Sand Hollow State Park

Sand Hollow State Park offers miles of ATV trails and open riding dune space. Terrain varies from deep sand to gravel to rock. Riding is available directly to the shoreline of Sand Hollow Reservoir. Camping is available.




Sandy Peak Loop

Bryce Canyon Country

Sandy Peak Loop offers 30 miles of ATV trail including sage brush flats, shallow water forests, and high altitude vistas. This trail intersects with Panguitch Lake Trail.




Sanford Loop

Bryce Canyon Country

Sanford Loop offers 39 miles of ATV trails. The trail travels through Limekiln and rises above the pink cliffs of Casto Canyon. Trail is rated as intermediate.




Sanpete South

Straight Canyon Loop offers 41 miles of looping ATV trail. The trail runs to the Pink Cliffs through the Crawford Pass Loop. Riding is rated as intermediate.

Two Mile Area in the Manti-La Sal National Forest offers 10 miles of multiuse trail open to ATV use. The trails offer scenic views of the La Sal Mountains and surrounding red rock county.




White Wash Sand Dunes

White Wash Sand Dunes offers an open OHV riding area. Outside the area there are hundreds of miles of designated roads and ATV trails. Dispersed camping is permitted.




Yankee Meadows Ride

Yankee Meadows Ride offers a 25 mile loop along the south shore of Panguitch Lake and to the Yankee Reservoir. The trail is rated as intermediate and is rocky and steep in a few places. Restrooms are available.
